Dessert Tea Party with Royal Doulton at Rustan's Makati

It's two days away and everone who loves Supreme Brazo Bars are invited!

Supreme Brazo Bars by Ces Lopez is the sole featured dessert and pastry supplier at the Rustan's Workshop Event Series entitled "Dessert Tea Party with Royal Doulton" at Rustan's Makati, on October 8, 2009. The tea supplier is Twinings, which, incidentally, is also the tea line we sell at our store in Alabang Town Center.

Royal Doulton England, as some might already know, is an English brand of tableware, fine gifts and collectibles, sold in the Philippines exclusively at Rustan's. Taken from their website, Royal Doulton "enjoys the distinction of a "Royal Warrant -- a mark of distinction bestowed upon people or companies who have regularly supplied the Royal Family with goods or services. Royal Warrants, regarded as a mark of supreme excellence and quality, cannot be bought or sold." Well, we can only say "wow" to that! We're just so happy and proud to have been given the privelege of taking part in this event.

Special thanks go out to Mafe Marquez, Brand Assistant for Royal Doulton, Rustan Marketing Corporation, for tapping us to be the featured supplier in the Tea Party! It was a chance meeting, actually - Mafe was then one of our happy, bubbly customers about two months ago, visiting the store together with her colleagues. I guess her first impression of our product - and first taste trial - sealed the deal for us! I guess it also did good for Twinings for it was actually because of that chance meeting that Mafe thought of inviting them to be the tea supplier.

Hope to see you at Rustan's Makati on the 8th! The brazos and other pastries we'll be displaying will be free for the taking, and we'll also give away gift certificates to selected guests. The party starts at 1:00pm. See you there!

Back in Business Yet Worried About Pepeng

We ceased operations because of what the typhoon Ondoy did to our commissary, but since God still blessed us with two ovens and one chiller working, allowing us to continue production, we were able to bounce right back and started operations in Alabang Town Center and New Manila just last Wednesday.

But now another typhoon is brewing (in fact right this very moment it's already starting to rain) and the forecast is not good. It's supposed to hit harder than Ondoy and we're worried about our little commissary at 9th Street, New Manila. We do have a contingency plan to salvage the equipment should the water start rising again...but, well...we can only pray and hope for the best.

Keep safe and may God bless everyone.
